Purpose

StarView Web is an organization-authorized activity collection extension. It sends browser activity to the configured StarView server for time tracking and activity analysis.

Data collected

StarView Web may collect the following data after the user gives consent:

• Active tab URL and page title
• Whether the active tab is audible or in incognito mode
• The number of open tabs
• Configured work number and device hostname
• Extension connection and synchronization status

How data is used

The collected data is used only to provide StarView time tracking and activity analysis to the organization that authorized the installation.

StarView Web does not sell user data, does not use user data for advertising, and does not transfer user data to unrelated third parties.

Data sharing

Data is transmitted only to the configured StarView service and the local StarView identity service. The extension does not share collected data with advertising networks, data brokers, or unrelated third parties.

Local storage

StarView Web uses local browser storage to save consent state, extension settings, recent heartbeat state, and synchronization status.
